Relevent is looking for a PR Manager with agency and/or sports related public relations experience to manage communications for key company properties including La Liga North America, Alianza de Futbol ("Alianza"), the country's largest and most prestigious amateur Hispanic soccer program, JUGOtv, a multi-platform digital sports network for U.S. Hispanic soccer fans, and Alianza U, the foundation which has provided more than two dozen Latino soccer players access to financial aid or scholarships to play college soccer.

Job responsibilities include writing and distributing press releases, pitching stories, media monitoring, creating media lists, research, staffing events, and managing seasonal freelance PR employees. This position will report to and work collaboratively with the Senior Vice President of Communications.

Role & Responsibilities:
Write and distribute press releases, including knowledge of wire services and understanding of how to reach both targeted and wide audiences
Create media lists tailored to reach specific audiences
Conduct research to assist in PR efforts
Staff press related events including distributing media credentials, assisting with operations, and managing media needs
Manage a team of freelancers hired for key Relevent properties
Write talking points and other messaging documents
Monitor media daily including weekends

Qualifications and Skills:
Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Degree in public relations, journalism or similar
Knowledge of sports media, especially soccer
3-5 years of sports related public relations and/or agency experience
Excellent command of written English
Knowledge of social media and wholly owned platforms
People management experience
Effective, clear, concise communicator
High level of self-motivation
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
A strong emphasis on attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
A willingness to learn new tasks, show initiative and be flexible
