Based out of Lake Hemet Recreation or Lake Gregory, the Regional Marketing Coordinator plans and implements sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for services at Lake Hemet Recreation, Diamond Valley Recreation, Lake Gregory Recreation, Little Lake, and Katherine Landing.
Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets.
Maintain communications Corporate Marketing Council and with regional tourism associations and destination marketing organizations.
Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
Attend appropriate trade shows as determined by Management.
Attend network meetings for industry-related groups as demand permits.
Oversee and evaluate market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
Monitor competitors products, sales and marketing activities.
Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
Experience: a minimum of three years related in sales and marketing responsibilities in travel, rural tourism or outdoor recreation.
Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques in print, radio and online/social media formats.
Proficient in social media platforms.
Advanced knowledge of advertising principles with an eye for detail.
Willing and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with varying shifts including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Enthusiastic, flexible and adept at handling change.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
Be a willing member of Basecamp Hospitality, performing all duties and functions as assigned to the best of his/her ability.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
The Regional Marketing Coordinator may use various office tools and equipment on a daily basis. The Regional Marketing Coordinator will be knowledgeable about the safety practices and standards set by the Company, relative to the work environment he/she operates in. He/she will also make it a duty to assure that all co-workers are working with those same safety practices and standards.
