The Microsoft Services Delivery Methodology Project Manager is responsible for leading the definition of delivery management processes, best practices from the product teams, industry, tool recommendations, and process improvement initiatives. This position is responsible for influencing the methodology usage and adoption across the Microsoft Services delivery domains and account aligned teams working closely with SAO, WW SQA team and field SMEs. The business program manager collaborates and maintains partnership with field SMEs, Domain Management, SPLs, Solution Architects, WW SQA, Role Excellence, Readiness and Area aligned stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities


Build Delivery guidance for field where it is not documented
Develop and implement delivery controls, monitoring, tracking, and reporting to make sure delivery guidance is used and effective
Control validation, establish and drive correction of errors to guidance, insufficient controls, monitoring and tracking
Work across stakeholders groups to drive consensus on delivery policy
For selected topics that are ambiguous, orchestrate, program manage towards getting clarity for the field by working with various relevant stakeholders and develop guidance per above.
Represent Business Excellence and Operations teams (Delivery Excellence, Services Quality Assurance, and Contracts/Commercial management) on delivery management process issues with other teams like Delivery Strategy, Process Engineering, tools, Role Excellence, Operations, etc.
Define, enhance, maintain, delivery methodologies and provide inputs to the SDM Plus and other relevant teams to update as appropriate
Collaborate with WW SQA, Domains and Account aligned delivery management teams to Improve usability and adoption of solution methods across Consulting and Premier Services
Orchestrate necessary updates and improvements to solution methods, simplification and unification of solution methods where applicable, consistency and predictability across WW for Domain and account aligned delivery.
Be the voice of Domain and Account Aligned teams in driving improvements to WW Delivery Methodology and Tools by providing Domain inputs and collaborate with WW SQA team in landing and adopting improvements within Domains
Collaborate with delivery management tools team to implement the solution methods and driving consistency in usage of delivery management tools & best practices across Domains and Accounts towards as One Services team
Be an evangelist of emerging industry best practices in services and its alignment with solution methods to improve the agility and efficiency through solution methods
Owner of methodology IP and represent Microsoft services across various forums within and outside Microsoft

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Technical delivery experience as a billable role with Microsoft Services or other professional services company required
Strategic thinking with the proven capability to manage solution methods implementation strategy that resulted in quality delivery outcomes
Understanding of key technologies and trends for one or more Domains, and articulate their impact on delivery management methods & tools needs to broader internal and external stakeholders to gain their support and drive necessary changes proactively
Outstanding interpersonal skills, providing leadership by example, and an inspiring vision for driving future in a matrix environment
Experience with forums, certification & accreditation agencies is definite plus
