Primary Purpose/Objectives

We are looking for an energetic and talented individual to be a pivotal member of the product leadership team with a focus on mobile applications across our platform. The product manager will seek input from various stakeholders, balance a roadmap of conflicting priorities and communicate the product vision. The product manager will:

Be a thought leader in your space
define and communicate the strategic direction & roadmap
prepare commercial & go-to-market plans for each product
execute these plans (all the way from business plan, through development, handover to sales and support, beta launch, full launch and beyond)
ensure commercial success of each product and maximizing overall return for stakeholders (as measure by customer adoption, satisfaction and commercial return)
You will be responsible for defining, planning, communicating, and managing the product strategy, roadmap, pricing, and go to market activities for your product portfolios, specifically mobile applications. As such, you will be measured by the commercial success of the portfolios.

You will be responsible for all stages of product execution from conception, business case evolution, go to market strategy, pricing, positioning, overseeing development and delivery, beta programs, launch and the ongoing commercial success of the portfolio of products. You will drive for consistency, a culture of delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

This is position that requires a combination of strong strategic thinking, tactical execution and the ability to manage and drive priorities across departments. You should be technical and experienced in creating and supervising the creation of business plans, go to market plans and launch plans for a global business. You will be diving into the details to continuously understand the state of your products, and working directly with user experience designers and engineers to deliver product offerings that grow the business.

You should be technical enough to be able to engage in questions of architecture and design. An important aspect of this role is also to be a leader of people, a model of teamwork, and a mentor to others.

In this position, you will collaborate with sales, product marketing, corporate marketing, and customer support to define the go-to-market for your products. You will engage with engineering and user experience to ensure products are delivered as defined. You will also act as a main representative for your products internally and externally. Engaging with executives, internal teams, customers, and partners will be common. You will also be involved in speaking with analysts, press, and speaking events on behalf of Aconex.

An ideal candidate will have experience with the best practices of a larger company combined with an understanding of how to operate in a smaller, rapidly growing company with limited resources.

Key responsibilities include:
Work hand-in-hand with the engineering teams to ensure alignment of objectives and positive customer outcomes
The creation of “whole product” plans that account for all aspects of the marketing mix and customer lifecycle as well as internal business requirements.
Communicate with and get buy in from the Leadership Team and Executive Management team on your product strategy – continue to make engineering, marketing and most importantly sales feel good about your product offerings and direction.
Integrate tightly with the marketing and sales organizations on market and customer strategies. The goal here is to increase the effectiveness of the product organization and the velocity of revenue growth.
Make decisions based on specific and deep market and metrics analysis.
Work with the User Experience team to ensuring that the end-to-end user experience of Aconex is optimized, leading to maximum user engagement, driving referrals and retention.
Have the discipline to keep current priorities highly visible and on a path toward success, while developing an entrepreneurial spirit across the team that encourages discussion and experimentation along new avenues.
Maintain close contact with Aconex’s user community and analysts for access to market data utilized in the development of your product roadmap, and oversight for resource balancing, prioritization and sequencing of projects in the development queue.
Work with the all elements of the business to facilitate smooth and continuous product launches.
You will have a great instinct for developing compelling products with a strong focus on users; a technical aptitude to work with a world class engineering team; and the business sense to drive product goals and strategies.

Provide entrepreneurial vision and strategic leadership for your product set / commercial solution.
Lead the planning and communication of the commercial solution
Build, Create and maintain a strong culture within the team (values)
Ensure effective integration and co-ordination between the Product, UX and Engineering teams
Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and other industry stakeholders
Drive a solution set across development team (primarily Development/Engineering and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract and positioning. Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
Set and deliver commercial targets for the product
Understand the competitors’ products in terms of positioning, features and benefits, and account acquisition strategies
Build an excellent knowledge of Oracle Construction & Engineering products, mapping how the new product set interfaces to the existing product set.

7+ years product management or technical product marketing experience required.
Some B2B Experience or network-based business expertise
Experience making sophisticated product decisions in a competitive market, and getting it right!
Be a thought leader on trends in the enterprise software market utilizing a SaaS business model. Who is doing what, and how does our product fit both today and in the future?
Experienced in leading product organizations within successful application software companies selling into large enterprise accounts.
Must always be thinking about results and how those results are measured. Must be maniacal about focusing on product issues and initiatives that will create engaged users and ultimately generate revenue.
Have a strong business sense and ability to grasp customer’s needs and expectations. Given the broad-based product responsibilities this individual will assume, strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives and stakeholders will be critical.
Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements and convert them into a winning product vision.
Significant people and organizational management skills. A natural leader and mentor.
The successful candidate will need to possess strong strategic skills to ensure that Oracle's product strategy is aligned with market needs.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
