As a math editor and project manager, you will be part of the newly-created team to take on new math editorial projects. You will be responsible for the accuracy of mathematics content for grades 5-12, working with ASI project managers and sales team to ensure client satisfaction. Some of the tasks you will work on include:
Managing, vetting, and hiring mathematics editors and answer checkers.
Participating in client calls and serving as a resource for sales as senior project managers.
Ensuring project specifications are met and sign off on quality prior to client submission.
Review client lessons and curriculum examples and use those to construct and guide answer checkers.
Write and edit math solutions so that they are grade-appropriate and consistent with client guidelines philosophy.
Support and direct answer checkers both on and offshore as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or greater in mathematics or math education
Minimum of one year of experience in classroom teaching
Strong pedagogical skills, critical eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex concepts into simple explanations.
Strong training and mentoring experience for new math editor hires
Self-motivation, ability to work with and communicate effectively with a variety of technical and creative individuals
Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Very good decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines regularly and to highlight risks at early stages
Strong organization and project-management skills
Ability to work in a team environment and with both on and offshore talent
Strong computer skills, including MS Office products
