Sensory Expertise - sound knowledge and experience in a range of sensory analysis methods applied to fragrances across home and personal care categories, and panel leadership. Fine Fragrance a plus.

Guide creative development of winning fragrances by designing, analyzing, and interpreting, appropriate sensory and consumer studies.
Establish themselves as a strategic business partner with CFG, R&D, Global Insights, and Brand leaders
Partner with strategic vendors and ensure an agile, evidence-based and behavioral science approach is applied to the appropriate test/statistical design, planning, execution and analyzing of research. Able to leverage external sensory community.
Proficiency in designing and executing Descriptive Analysis, Difference Tests, Malodor Coverage Assessments, Time Intensity and Shelf Life Studies that will satisfy project time-lines and budgets.
Strong statistical background (data analysis, panel performance monitoring, implementation of new & disruptive sensory techniques)
Ability to think out of the box and lead development of new and agile methodologies and applications to expand functional capabilities; continuously seek improvements in techniques and cost through evaluation of opportunity/risk.
Ability to guide panel development and methodologies globally.
Supervisory role in sensory team, leadership, team building and fostering growth. Ensure team is fully proficient in project management, preparation and facilitation of the sensory panel(s), while being challenged to provide creative and agile solutions.
Develop, manage and maintain external consumer sensory panels (trained and untrained).
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate and provide technically competent presentations to clients in support of CIMR capabilities and Takasago submissions.
Provide reports and presentations and able to guide and provide actionable recommendations to internal and external clients.
Effectively design qualitative research to complement quantitative research programs.
Demonstrated agility and innate curiosity, must have ability to multi-task across variety of categories with appropriate sense of urgency Creative problem solving strongly encouraged.
Manage multiple projects while maintaining high level quality in study design, questionnaires, executing, data analysis/interpretation, and report writing
BS in relevant fields, such as Food Science, Sensory Science, Experimental Psychology, Neuroscience, Sociology required; MS preferred.
At least 5 years experience in sensory research field.
Candidate must have an understanding of experimental design, statistics, software packages (e.g., SPSS or SAS), Compusense, and Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Experience in developing and managing Descriptive Panels
