Quality Technician
Summary/Objective
Quality technicians ensure products meet the required quality standards before they are sold to consumers.
Essential Functions
- Conduct testing procedures (i.e. Daily IFD’s, Durometer, weights, dimensional and Tear test) during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.
- Document and track all IFD information in the Lab Database.
- Set up new parts in Lab Database
- Tracking all paperwork for Lab Notifications
- Track number of 1st piece for the week including how many failed IFD
- Enter IFD information on boards at the molding lines.
- Tracking down parts for testing
- Communicate results to processors and Quality Engineers
- Enter new parts into Lab Database
- Email weight watchers daily and weekly.
- Assist in PPAP’s and sample parts.
- Measuring parts, Capability Studies or using a spreadsheet to document the information.
- Perform audits as required.
- Assist in incoming material inspections.
- Control, track/log and monitor Hold area(s) following non-conforming procedure.
- Keep the hold area clean and organized.
- Use EIQ to create and issue RMA’s.
- Help organize any sorting or rework of product.
- Scrap parts out as required.
- Responsible for single tasks, such as sorting, weighing, or IFD testing materials and products.
- Assist in preparing inspection plans and training new technicians.
- Keep the Gauge calibration up to date in the Gauge Calibration database.
- Calibrate and label all calibrated instruments.
- Contact calibration suppliers as required.
- Maintaining and filing all gauge certifications
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This is a professional position with active involvement with manufacturing processes and presence within the facility.
Physical Demands
Being able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds when needed. Performance of duties will occur within production and office settings.
Required Education and Experience
· High School Diploma
Preferred Education and Experience
· Technical certifications desired
