Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter carries out all of the day-to-day activities including human resources process management, recruitment, selection, compensation, employee relations, benefits, and employee relations.
Essential Job Functions:
80% of the work week must be spent visiting assigned facilities and include face time with the employees.
Constantly recruiting by building and expanding the Faneuil brand in the community and network
Provide main point of HR contact for all employees in the call center
Sources, screens, and evaluated candidate applications/resumes for qualifications
Offers position to candidate, prepares offer letters and completes employee on-boarding
Conducts orientation sessions and explains benefits enrollment for new employees
Assists operations management with HR policy adherence, disciplinary actions and documentation
Conducts investigations regarding HR policy violations and appeals
Utilizes HRIS including Applicant Tracking System, Payroll and Time and Attendance software
Ensures up-to-date maintenance of employee records in accordance with legal requirements and corporate policies
Keeps up-to-date with any changes in related legislation
Additional duties and responsibilities as needed
Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2 - 5 years’ experience in HR dealing with recruiting, payroll, employee relations, progressive discipline, and benefits administration
PHR or SPHR certification preferred
Possess ability to work with MS Office and a working knowledge of HRIS including Payroll, Time and Attendance
Understanding of employment law, employee rights, payroll and benefits and COBRA
Must have the ability to work independently with support from corporate and/or regional offices
Strong oral and written communication and proven organizational skills
Detail-oriented and accurate
Ability to management other administrative professionals, delegate duties, prioritize, and follow up
Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Final candidates for this position will need to successfully complete criminal background, and drug screening.
The job is performed indoors and outdoors during travel time to the toll facilities. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.
