General Summary of Position:
Assists Manager and Medical Director in coordinating daily activities of vascular laboratory, including delegating duties and assisting in evaluating the performance of more junior lab personnel. Provides training/orientation for new staff as required. Performs full range of duties of staff Non-Invasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory Technician.
Completion of an ARDMS recognized school in vascular technology, with knowledge of symptomatology, the disease process, anatomy and medical terminology.
Approximately three to four years of progressively more responsible job related experience in non-invasive vascular laboratory performing vascular procedures.
Registration as a Peripheral Vascular Technician by the ARDMS and the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification and BCLS is required within one year of hire.
