About the Role

In support of MediaMint’s corporate strategy, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for initiating relationships with potential partners that need ongoing technical, operational, and strategic support. You will assess client needs, and define business opportunities where MediaMint can continuously add value. You will be responsible for driving the agreements and working closely with the client engagement teams to help maximize the strategic value MediaMint provides to each individual client.

Key activities include evaluating opportunities, negotiating favorable business terms, onboarding new partners, and serving as a subject matter expert in the outsourcing of operational support for partners. The ideal candidate must enjoy an entrepreneurial, competitive, and rapidly shifting environment.

You are focused on developing trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers. You know how to quickly identify opportunities across business functional needs, craft customized solutions, and articulate proposals that address each clients’ business challenges. You are a self-starter, ready to make an impact on MediaMint’s growth, process design, and business development strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate partnerships with fortune 1,000 software, internet publishing, and advertising agencies and technology companies.
  • Work as a trusted advisor to clients to assess their challenges, needs, and opportunities to leverage MediaMint’s capabilities to their advantage.
  • Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers to identify future opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Track and report on weekly performance and
  • Build success metrics for partnerships and track success against those KPIs
  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships
  • Identify partnership opportunities; collect feedback on existing/potential utilization from agency teams
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development and service offering ideas.
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company's ambitious growth.
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets.

Qualifications

  • 5 -10+ years years of experience calling on VP and C-level executives
  • Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions
  • Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Experience in digital media and technology; Familiarity with the adtech, SaaS, and data companies.
  • Must possess high energy, excellent judgement, grit, and integrity
  • Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable wearing different hats
  • Proven communication, questioning, and listening skills in formal and informal settings
  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to build excellent rapport with internal and external stakeholders; strong teamwork is a must
  • Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrated use of critical thinking techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Salary: $110,000.00 to $200,000.00 /year
