LOCATION: Remote or any Merkle Office location
The Decisioning Analytics Lead Analyst role is important as it will support ongoing program insights, associated client Decisioning platform implementations and expansions. This is a position that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills. The Lead DA Analyst should be able to not only independently execute an analytics project, but also take many client problems and define the analytics methodology, scope, and project timeline. They should serve as a resource within their area of expertise, and provide guidance to more junior team members, both technically and with a business focus
The individual in this role will need to understand the relationship between the real-time marketing platform (e.g., Pegasystems, IBM Unica, Adobe, etc) and the data in order to support CRM and Marketing Analytics departments. The individual in this role will conduct analyses on commercial benefits, operational metrics, testing and model performance that can be used by the decisioning program to drive continuous improvement.
Work directly with the client to understand business goals, methodology considerations and timing for analysis and reporting work
Deliver practical and actionable recommendations by translating analysis into a Marketing strategy.
Present analysis findings and recommendations to the client Marketing organization
Develop dashboard and reports using Tableau to support the broader set of Marketing stakeholders
Perform analysis with Decisioning platform and enterprise data in an Analytics Sandbox environment
Collaborate with data team to configure fact tables that support the broader analytics team.
Collaborate and support other team members with data preparation, investigation, methodology and development
Collaborate closely with other teams to formulate industry-best-practice analytic solutions and directly contribute to a variety of validation activities such as analysis design, execution and assessment; data review; and campaign/marketing performance evaluation.
Share best practices with broader Merkle analytics teams
Demonstrate Commercial Benefits of Decisioning programs, where insights contribute to gains in ROI over time
Recommend specific actions to improve areas of a Decisioning Program that can drive incremental benefits.

Ability to consolidate and package up insights, analytic outputs, and action items into a well organized, consumable package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Ability to effectively explain/present complicated analytical methodology and results to non-technical audiences
Strong SQL programming experience, preferably in a Teradata environment
Strong hands-on experience with Tableau
Ability to craft data stories through visualizations
Experience with one or more analytics tools: SAS, R, Python
2+ years in marketing analytics
3+ years of SQL experience, Teradata experience is a plus
4+ years prior experience developing BI reports using Tableau or other relevant BI reporting tool
2+ years data management experience
2+ years CRM and marketing automation experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in statistics, math, economics or related quantitative field plus several years' experience in applied disciplines OR advanced degree (M.A., MBA, M.S., Ph.D.) directly out of school; advanced degree preferred
