Program Administrator OB/GYN Residency – Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (Sisters of Charity Hospital):

This position is an ACGME required position complementary to U.B. provided Graduate Medical Education Training Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. This individual will be key to the implementation of appropriate and necessary policies, procedures, administration, and management of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program to allow it to move forward. This individual works as required by ACGME and AOA, under the Program Director and his/her designee in all aspects of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Catholic Health. This individual will play a key role in the up-front planning of the Program and work collaboratively to define project scope and implementation strategies with all U.B. project participants. Additionally, this person will also assist in conducting the Catholic Health System Orientation for Residents and the Annual Research Symposium. This person will also plan and coordinate the annual Obstetrics and Gynecology Research Day. This person will also maintain the education records of all graduates of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and respond to all requests by State and National Accreditation and Licensing Agencies.

  • Program Director and Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Human & Community Services concentration preferred
  • Masters preferred
EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate Medical Education knowledge and experience with ACGME, ABOG, ACOG, ACOOG, AAMC, ECFMG, ERAS, NRMP and other accrediting and related agencies required.
  • Experience with Academic settings and Universities.
  • Experience with healthcare operations, large projects and multi-entity large organizations required.
  • Experience with large project implementation desired.
  • Experience with healthcare clinical and financial system implementations desired.
  • Enterprise wide knowledge and relationships desired.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years previous Office Management experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

ENVIRONMENT:
  • Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs.
  • Projects usually involve departments at several if not all campuses, therefore requiring travel between campuses.
  • An unusual work schedule will be a rare occasion.
