Position Overview – Roofing Inspector
Commercial roofing contractor is seeking a qualified Roofing Inspector to provide assistance in closing out projects. The Roofing Inspector will also provide written reports with photos to document quality assurance of the roofing projects. Projects are located in Bay Area, Central Valley, and Reno/Carson City. Company pick-up truck provided.
Position Responsibilities
· Organize and coordinate meetings with city inspectors and manufacturers’ representatives for final permit approval and warranty registrations.
· Working as part of a team, with clear communication with office administration, sales, and production staff for successful project closeouts.
· Document the project closeout with reports including photos and diagrams as needed.
· Evaluate quality of roofing installation, identifying shortcomings, and provide constructive input to production staff.
Qualifications
· Minimum three years of an equivalent position in the construction industry.
· Ability to safely set-up an extension ladder for roof access.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Strong written communication skills.
· Independent self-starter with excellent work ethic.
· Solid understanding of application of roofing materials and systems. Previous installation experience a plus.
· Experience with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, along with Adobe Acrobat.
· Valid driver license with excellent driving record.
· Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
