Major Focus: Manufacturing support and development of equipment and systems to expand company capabilities with a focus on enhancing internal and external customer experience, quality and speed.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Knowledge/Skills (some OTJ Training Req’d):
Support production to meet organizational metrics
Create production work documentation for new and existing products and processes
Work instructions, standard works, etc.
Production routes and bills of materials
Focus on Safety
Proper machine identification and validation plans
Justification process and documentation
Implementation process and documentation
Liaison for all areas of organization (Sales, Quality, R&D, etc.) with respect to products and production capabilities
Capital equipment
Maintain & facilitate improvement of quality procedure documentation including RMA/CAR/MRR

Must be a hands-on mechanically-inclined individual who demonstrates a “Can-Do” perspective to resolve manufacturing engineering challenges
Broad based knowledge of manufacturing processes including pressing, and secondary machining operations.
Ability to grasp fundamentals of
Metal Sintering
Gas flow and permeability
Assembly tolerancing
Fabrication, machining, and welding
An eye for Design For Manufacturability
Lean and Six Sigma skills necessary to efficiently and methodically resolve technical challenges

Expected Performance Outcomes:
Required Experience:
Consistently demonstrate a Learning Mindset, utilizing those skills to:
Learn detailed process knowledge of powder metallurgy compaction, sintering, flow evaluation and secondary operations within first 6 months
Consistently apply knowledge to improve manufacturing systems while training, educating and coaching others to successful outcomes for internal and external customers
Improve scrap and throughput / yield metrics by 10% annually
Increase Operational and Manufacturing / Process Engineering capabilities by 10%

Implement two or more high-impact improvements to:
BSME – Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
2 years Manufacturing experience
Proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of ERP systems
Blackbelt / Greenbelt Six Sigma certification preferred
