The firm is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York and has satellite offices in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. areas.

About the Position

The analyst will conduct research, prepare models and datasets, create output tables, draft messaging, and collaborate with other staff at John Dunham & Associates on impact studies and a wide range of client economic issues related to tax and regulatory policies.

Job Duties:

1) Help model the potential economic impact of public policy proposals at the federal and state level and potentially, by Federal and state legislative districts, by county, or by city.

2) Perform research and prepare data sets for modeling .

3) Create tables, graphs, talking points and infographics using Microsoft software.

3) Effectively communicate—verbally and in writing—the results of research, which may include testifying in state legislatures to support JDA’s research (traveling as needed), presenting research at client meetings or conferences, and responding to media inquiries.

Education and Skills Required:

  • Tech Savvy and must demonstrate a high level of Proficiency in Excel and its various functions
  • Must be resourceful and a dogged researcher
  • Analytically inclined, a quick study and works in an efficient manner
  • A BA or BS degree in a research related field preferred. Degree in library science a plus
  • Two to three years of research work experience
  • Initiative to start and complete work projects thoroughly and on-time
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to write and speak clearly and concisely

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 /year
