The Group Controller is responsible for the support of the Product Lines within the Specific Group assigned. Protecting the long-term franchise of Schlumberger, by recognizing key trends in the evolution of the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:
M&A Support:
Identify targets, analyze and build business cases
Engage with M&A group, bankers and present to OFS
Negotiate, close and integrate
Business Models
Identify strengths that can be leveraged
Build ideas, commercial models and alternative ways of doing business
Test Contracts and propagate if successful
Markets
Identify under represented markets
Develop penetration strategies
Influence R&D and NPD
Review and approve capital requirements
Ensure appropriate deployment and market Product Lineation
Cross-Product Line Initiatives

New business models
Qualifications and Experience;

BA/ BSc or MA/ MSc (or equivalent) in Finance/ Accounting, MBA a plus
12+ years’ experience in a Financial role with atleast 5+ as a Controller
Technical Tax, Treasury, and M&A Skills
Operational and IT/System knowledge
Problem Solving: Advanced project estimation & complexity, creative and innovative quality solutions, analytical oriented, good decision-making skills and ability to manage contracts (commercial, risk and reporting)
Leadership: functions independently and in a team, project mgt. skills, outsourcing mgt. skills, mentoring skills and set/accomplish objectives
Communication: Advanced oral/written communication skills, customer services oriented, negotiate effectively with customers, contractors and competitors and interacts frequently with peer groups, subordinates and senior mgt. advising on area of responsibility
Cross Discipline: Understanding of interaction with other disciplines, Company strategy and the principles of Quality Management
