The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for inputting data into existing databases quickly and accurately from a variety of sources, including handwritten and recorded reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Update databases or records with new information as it become available.
Enter data into appropriate fields; databases, records and files
Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation
Summarizing and compiling data for standardized reports
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Correct and modify inaccurate files or records
Create and organize spreadsheets with large numbers
Work with various internal departments for data input into various databases
General office duties include but are not limited to: filing, scanning, sorting, and copying.
Cross train into other areas within the department

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Three years previous experience in data entry or equivalent experience in a related field
High school degree or equivalent
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system with a minimum of 11k kph
Strong attention to detail
Able to quickly and accurately type and enter data into various databases
High level of concentration
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work as part of a team
