JSDD is the lead, multi-purpose agency dedicated to providing an integrated program of community education, advocacy and services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Our Wellness, Arts, Enrichment Center for adults with Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Digital Art Facilitator.

Digital Art Facilitator (West Orange, NJ) The Digital Art Facilitator will use current curriculum to plan and teach individual/ small group digital art classes. He/she will continue to develop the program and curriculum while helping members identify, cultivate and learn digital art skills in a diverse student population comprised of adults with developmental disabilities.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10- 2:30 pm

$15/ hr

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Background in graphic design/digital art – Bachelor’s degree preferred. One to two years of teaching experience directly related to the field is preferred. Interested individuals should be mature, compassionate, knowledgeable in the field, and passionate about sharing a love of visual and digital art with others. They will be tech-savvy artists who can quickly learn new applications and programs. They will demonstrate good observational skills, problem solving ability and the initiative to implement creative ideas. Prior experience with adults who have disabilities is preferred.

Expertise in:

  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro
  • Maya
  • Blender
  • Mac and I-Pad platforms
  • Additional Digital Art program/apps such as Art Rage

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $15.00 /hour
