7 years of experience as a Quality, Reliability or Product Engineer.

3 years of experience in rigid PCB manufacturing processes.

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

American Society for Quality certification (CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA).

10 years of experience in Quality/Reliability and PCB manufacturing processes.

Understanding of PCB manufacturing and test processes.

Ability to travel as required.

The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.

As a Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Supplier Quality Engineer, you will join the team responsible for setting and managing the quality and reliability standards for our Printed Circuit Boards across Google.

Be responsible for the quality and reliability of PCB deliverables throughout the life cycle of the parts. Drive cross-functional activities in the supply chain for overall technical operational readiness in all NPI phases leading into Mass Production.

Provide consultation to the design, manufacturing and commodity teams in qualification, and application of various levels of PCB technologies. Lead quality qualification audits.

Work cross-functionally to define and ensure processes in place to provide the data required to manage quality and reliability. Interface with suppliers on a regular basis to share dppm feedback from the fleet and drive Return Material Authorization (RMA), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Analysis (FA).

Establish quality programs and process controls for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered.

Investigate failures and coordinate failure analysis, determining root causes, categorizing failures and driving corrective action through Google’s supply chain and design team.
