The Phoenix, Arizona location is looking to fill the role of Production Team Lead in their manufacturing facility. The Production Team Lead is part of the Production team. This position serves as a backup to the Supervisor by providing direction such as workstation assignment/rotations, training, and overseeing production safely in the absence of the Supervisor.
The Phoenix site is one of the manufacturing sites for IPL’s Large Format and Retail Packaging (LF&R) business in the United States. LF&R is a growing segment, with annual revenue of approximately $200m and significant growth potential, and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.
Position Title: Production Team Lead
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Hours: (Night Shift) 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. on a 12-hour rotating schedule.
What you will bring to the role:
- Communicates regularly with the shift Supervisors to ensure priorities are followed.
- Serves as a backup to the Supervisor by providing direction such as workstation assignment/rotations, training, overseeing production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers to ensure that production continues efficiently and safely in the absence of the Supervisor. Ability to read and interpret work orders and provide instruction to floor staff to ensure jobs are run accurately and meet customer specifications.
- Prints Labels for IFS and Scans them to production.
- Assist in providing training for new and full-time employees on plant functions to include:
- Proper assembly
- Inspection
- Trimming
- Packaging
- Correct counts
- Assemble cardboard boxes for packaging of products and properly label the boxes as necessary.
- Inspects parts for various defects.
- Performs lid fits.
- Relieve Machine Assembler positions during their break times as necessary.
- Completes production documentation for machines.
- Accurately accounting for production and scrap
- Recording material and/or color changes
- Ensures that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company Safety Policies
The successful candidate will:
Experience with RF Guns & ERP Systems
Experience with Label Printers
Quality Control Experience is a Plus
