We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented individual, to work closely with our Finance team to compute, classify, balance and record transactions in keeping accrual based financial records complete and accurate. In this hands-on role, this position will contribute outside of accounting to operations in business process improvements, human resources, business risk identification and mitigation. You would be responsible to perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, consolidated financial statement preparation, and regular cash management. You will also be responsible for various projects, creating and maintaining proper controls, and creating process improvements across various functions. Interacts with clients, team members, and management on a regular basis.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the integrity of the transactions in the general ledger system and process adjustments
- Prepares and/or reviews accurate internal financial reporting documents and analyze financial data to verify accuracy, identify trends, and recommend actions
- Provide financial reports to management and answer inquiries as necessary, coordinate and follow through with the month-end closing schedule
- Perform analysis on financial information to ensure its accuracy and prepare various schedules to support the financial information presented
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries for accuracy and validity
- Prepare GL account reconciliations and drive resolution on any variances
- Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses, and special projects, as needed.
- Assist in creating and updating accounting policies in line with US GAAP
- Assist external auditors with year-end audit and execute internal audit programs
- Assist in implementing, maintaining, and improving internal controls over financial reporting
- Interacts regularly with the Finance team to report on discrepancies between budget and actuals
- Lead and mentor staff accountants, focusing on their professional development
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills needed to be successful
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong familiarity with financial statements
- Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Solid knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Demonstrably excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects at a time in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
- Proven ability to mentor and lead others
- Proficient in tax and accounting research
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of general accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience & Education
- Master’s Degree Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
- Experience in Software industry
- Experience with NetSuite
- Proficiency with Power BI

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $75,300 to $101,300 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
