We are currently recruiting for a Director of Facility Operations who can lead a large workforce to ensure we are providing a great place for our residents to live.
Ashby Ponds is one of our established Continuing Care Retirement Communities where our residents experience retirement the way it is meant to be, invigorating and fulfilling. This Director must provide effective leadership by developing relationships with staff and other business partners to ensure we are delivering quality service to our residents. The Director of Facility Operations Job Responsibilities Include:
Plan, provide and maintain a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary and healthy living/working environment for residents and staff, and to provide residents with quality transportation, security, reception and facility services.
Lead all departmental employee functions, providing the facility with productive, responsive employees who are well trained and effectively managed.
Develop departmental, community and corporate goals/objectives, formulate and implement tools for training/evaluations and methods for follow-up.
Maintain accurate documentation and meet Human Resources guidelines. Implement system and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the departmental budget. This includes developing budgets and capital spending plans on an annual basis.
Orchestrate departmental administration, subordinate groups and departments through effective leadership to enable the community achieve its mission.
Assure that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state and/or local laws and statues.
Demonstrate technical and management knowledge, proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards and The Erickson Way.
Develop and oversee Individual Development Plans for each Manager and support their growth and educational opportunities
Develop and implement a Succession Plan to prepare staff for future opportunities as the community and individuals grow.
Actively participate in the Development, Operations, Construction & Sales (DOCS) meetings to ensure maximum operational outcomes.
Oversee and participate in The Life Cycle Improvement Plan as set forth for each campus.
Review and address the concerns, ideas, and suggestions that are presented by residents to determine their value to the community as a whole.
Develop a Document Retention Plan that determines the list of documents to retain and how long each should be saved.
Oversee the various tracking lists that monitor the completion rate of construction and other operational maintenance issues.
Complete written reports as requested by the corporation and the community.
Actively participate in the actions and meetings of the GSOT on the Director’s level with the goal of continuously improving consistent outcomes and reducing variations between campuses.
To support continued growth of start-up campuses throughout the Erickson Communities by helping new communities prior to their grand opening.
Maintain regulatory compliance on Continuing Care and any new buildings on campus.

Bachelor degree preferred.
Five years or more of business experience in General Services Operations or a similar level of experience.
