ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages
- Return the vehicle back to factory specifications
- Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body
- Can properly fill depressions with body filler and insure a quality repair
- Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch
- Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
- Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack
- File, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
- Aim headlights
- Replace bolts on panels and align properly
- Make cosmetic repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections back to original specifications
- Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform and enjoy each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Regularly required to use hands/fingers to operate a cash register, keyboard, or telephone. Regularly required to use hands/fingers to operate small hand tools necessary to performing the duties of the mechanic or technician role. Regularly speaks and listens on the phone and in person, to a customer and fellow employees.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noised level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
