The Medical Director or Sr. Medical Director will design and execute B-cell malignancy clinical trials for Juno Therapeutics product candidates, overseeing clinical/medical aspects of assigned Juno sponsored studies within project and study teams for the Clinical Development Department. This role will work closely with a team of physicians to revolutionize medicine through cell-based therapies.
Protocol development, study implementation, as well as medical, clinical and safety oversight. The Medical Director or Sr. Medical Director will also be responsible for study enrollment, data analysis/interpretation, as well as providing clinical support to regulatory, process development, research, and manufacturing functions. This position will not directly supervise others, but will serve as lead on project teams and clinical study teams.
MD with 2-5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience in in early phase or late phase development oncology clinical development preferred.
Expertise in clinical oncology, in particular hematologic malignancies; fellowship-trained Oncologist preferred.
Expertise in cellular immunology and/or immunotherapy preferred.
Experience designing and conducting Phase 1-3 clinical trials in oncology.
Team leadership role in industry setting.
Understanding of cellular immunology or strong basic science background
Experience supervising and managing trial activities with CRO support
Prior experience writing and submitting INDs to FDA; experience with pre-IND and EOP1 meetings preferred.
Ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, & prioritize work on multiple projects
