The Institute for Global Health in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Editor/Writer II to join the team at the University of Southern California.
The candidate will work independently and as a member of the Institutes’ team using human rights norms and standards to identify and address legal, policy, regulatory and programmatic barriers and opportunities in select projects.
Employment involves (1) Developing and implementing research work, including carrying out document reviews, web-based research and secondary data analysis; (2) Preparing materials for publication including peer-reviewed articles, technical reports and other documents as needed; (3) Collaborating with Program faculty and staff to support ongoing research projects as required; (4)Providing technical assistance (i.e. troubleshooting implementation difficulties) to student interns working on relevant projects; (5) Participating in overall Program coordination efforts, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation; (6) Assisting with data collection preparation, participating in project meetings and intervention development, attending Program and Institute meetings, preparing study materials, providing leadership and guidance to interns, other projects and duties as deemed necessary.
