Your Role:
We are adding a member to our team of sustainability consultants which provides focused leadership and forward-thinking solutions to all of Gensler’s clients, and champions our firm’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our portfolio. Any given day at this job will require heightened interpersonal and project management skills to advocate furthering the sustainability goals of multiple concurrent design projects of various scales, using demonstrated technical analysis and extensive knowledge of the LEED standard. Whether facilitating sustainability visioning sessions, providing technical assistance while coordinating certification issues or influencing sustainability practices in the firm, you will work on real-world solutions with a team of passionate and sustainably-minded peers and mentors.

Primary Skills/Responsibilities:
Experience Managing LEED consulting projects
Managing the LEED process of the Design and Construction consultants for projects in both BD+C and ID+C rating systems (LEED v3 and LEED v4)
Successful documentation and submission of LEED credits for review by GBCI
Project management of multiple LEED project budgets simultaneously
Effectively engage and educate external clients, consultants, and our internal Gensler design teams
Strong interpersonal skills used for client relations
Must thrive with personal responsibility and accountability while demonstrating and embracing open communication and team-oriented success
Possess professional confidence, and demonstrate versatile approaches to a myriad of issues and personality type
Strong organization skills with technical presentation ability

Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably from an accredited school of architecture or interior design, environmental design, or engineering program
3-6 years of professional experience in Sustainability Consulting
Attention to detail with strong communication skills
LEED AP with Specialty (BD+C or ID+C preferred)
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Adobe CS and Office Suite

Your Recommended Qualifications:
WELL, Fitwel, Living Building Challenge, LEED EBOM experience
Knowledgeable in latest version of Building Codes, ASHRAE Standards and sustainability reference standards
General understanding of material transparency frameworks and life cycle assessment
Technical proficiency in any of the following: Revit, Climate Consultant, daylight modeling software, energy modeling software, or other analytical software relevant to sustainability, efficiency optimization or resilience planning.
