The role supports management of over $1.5B lenses P&L, and is responsible for driving growth of the lenses category at Luxottica Retail Optical North America through execution of business, operational, product and other initiatives. Scope includes LensCrafters, Target Optical, Pearle Vision, and other store and online channels in the U.S. and Canada. The objective of the role is to grow the category by creating a product commercialization roadmap, overseeing launches of new products, and ensuring channels have the product knowledge and tools to sell lenses effectively. It entails leadership of big cross-functional initiatives across central functions and field organizations in testing and deploying solutions to increase average order, conversion, unit and customer count.
Position requires critical thinking, initiative and drive, as well as experience product management, cross-functional team leadership, program planning and implementation. Also required is an understanding of lenses, familiarity with EssilorLuxottica lab network and supply chain, and ability to work with a global network of partners within and outside of EssilorLuxottica Group.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead cross-functional initiatives to test and commercialize new products and refresh existing product lines
Lead lens project implementation, including content requirements and accuracy for selling tools, training, customer facing communications, lens related doctor engagement, and others as needed
Lead overall day-to-day operations of lens category across channels, identify and resolve issues collaborating across functions as needed
Partner with Sourcing, R&D and Suppliers to analyze and develop new product technical features and translate them into customer features and benefits; in turn, define technical insights used for marketing claims, including, as needed, coordinate wearer tests and clinical trials to establish appropriate product claims
Manage lens data and tools required for enabling lens sales, such as SAP lens master data to ensure assortment and pricing accuracy, from requirement definition through to testing and quality assurance
Manage risk by partnering with product planning to minimize obsolescence during product phase out
Represent lens category function and serve as subject matter expert on cross-functional teams to support channel initiatives
BA degree with concentration in marketing, business, operations, engineering or related quantitative fields
10+ years of related work experience
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Ability to manage big complicated projects

Proficiency in MS Office
