The Patient Care Associate (PCA) will assist the RNs on Ellison 7 with various functions, including phlebotomy and EKGs, transporting patients, checking rooms and equipment, assisting patients with dressing and feeding, and some clerical functions. - Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff, and providers.
- Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and superior organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and transport patients, using the appropriate physical technique, in a safe manner for the patient and self.
- Preferred: Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.
- Required: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program at the time of hire, OR Candidate enrolled in a Nursing program, Pre-Med or PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed at the time of hire.
