Blue Zoo, an interactive aquarium located in Spokane, is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidates to join our Educational Team. As a part of our team, you will play a vital role in providing our guests with a fun and educational experience. Our guests can touch and feed stingrays, birds, and reptiles, see sharks, clownfish, angelfish, and enjoy play equipment and water play tables. We also host events featuring mermaids, pirates, and dive shows.As an Educational Team Member, you will be responsible for educating and inspiring our guests, helping to open the aquarium, and ensuring that the register and gift shop are ready for guests. You will also be responsible for educating guests on the exhibits and animals in your area, answering questions in a knowledgeable manner, and providing a 5-star customer experience at all times.
Additional job duties include:
Selling tokens and annual passes to guests
Cleaning and sanitizing consistently throughout the day
Maintaining a safe and healthy atmosphere
Answering phones and assisting guests with questions, reservations, and bookings
Operating the cash register
Making sure the gift shop is ready for the following dayPlease note that this list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to perform additional tasks or duties by the Store Manager or Operations Manager at any given time.
