SCAD seeks a Senior Assessment and Curriculum Specialist to guide the overall student curriculum at the university’s Savannah location.

In this position, you will facilitate and oversee the ongoing evaluation of student learning and support services in assigned academic and administrative areas; monitor the usage of assessment results for continuous unit improvement; guide faculty and academic leaders in the development of curriculum content; and play a critical role in the preparation of narrative and evidence to support ongoing accreditation efforts.

The ideal candidate has three years of experience in education, student outcomes assessment, program evaluation, and/or educational research with skills in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting. The candidate should have the theoretical background and skills needed to lead the curriculum and assessment process from concept to completion, including development of course content, articulation of learning outcomes, instrument design and formatting, data collection and entry, descriptive analysis, presentation of results, and discussion of implications and next steps. Demonstrated experience working with art or design disciplines, collaborating with university stakeholders, including deans, chairs, and professors, and developing course descriptions, goals, and student learning outcomes that effectively communicate academic content and rigor is imperative.

The candidate should have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate should have the adaptability and flexibility to execute multiple goals and plans within a fast-paced, team-oriented entrepreneurial organization. Experience creating innovative, meaningful displays of information is required as is experience presenting complicated information to audiences with diverse backgrounds.

Technical experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and statistical analysis programs, such as SPSS as well as data visualization and design software packages, such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, is preferred. The candidate should also have experience in creating and providing documentation to comply with accreditation standards, such as those outlined by The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC).
