Responsible for managing the store operations and the management, supervision, and direction of all store personnel at all times and setting the standard for superior customer service in our beauty supply stores. Develop the strategies and plans to achieve sales results and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication and consistent accountability.
Primary Duties Provide clear, concise statements using action verbs to describe what is done, with or for whom the action is taken and the purpose or outcome to be achieved.
Responsibilities should be listed in order of importance.
Supervision, direction and planning of employees’ daily work based on business needs and management of employee-related issues, including but not limited to the following: all personnel action decisions, continuous training and development of staff on all aspects of store operations, recruiting and hiring, creating and implementing employee schedules and work flow delegation consistent with staffing needs, resolving employee problems, determining appropriate coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions when needed, conducting performance appraisals and providing orientation to new store employees to communicate company background information and the benefits available to employees.

Responsible for ensuring all customer service issues and questions are resolved in a timely, appropriate and effective manner. Key point of contact for customers to resolve questions, issues or disputes.
Determines product orders by analyzing store trends and anticipating customer demands. Ensures the maintenance of a well-stocked store at all times. Identifies and addresses overstock and defective merchandise with District Manager. Ensures that salon orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
Monitors and maintains store budget and controls expenses in order to stay within the assigned budget.
Achieves store financial targets.
Implements inventory control measures and protects store assets by ensuring all staff follow safety and security rules and procedures. Works to provide for the safety and security of all store personnel and customers.
Maintains a high standard of merchandising, placement, store signage, and proper display techniques to ensure the creation of an inviting atmosphere for customers. Coordinates the Company’s special promotion activities.
Ensures all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly.
Conducts periodic meetings to keep employee relations at a high level and to keep employees informed of relevant information by utilizing leadership skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1 year prior management experience
Ability to manage people and business operations
Licensed cosmetologist preferred
Competencies/ Indicate relative “qualitative” or other important aspects that would enhance the ability to perform the job. i.e. detail oriented, customer focused, team player, etc.

Requirements
The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. May be required to work in other stores from time to time.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail store and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
