A bachelor’s degree or pursuing of a master’s degree with experiences in higher education is preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills and have a demonstrated record of strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:
Provide administration and supervision of services to meet university and departmental goals for admissions, domestic, and international recruitment and enrollment

Assist the Director of Admissions & Recruitment with the development of a comprehensive recruitment plan

Plan, organize and administer the activities of the Office of Admissions/Recruitment and the Center for International Affairs and Programs in keeping with established university policies and procedures

Possess strong, effective computer technology skills that include electronic reporting processing systems (Banner preferred)

Supervise the receipt and forwarding of applications from recruitment efforts to admissions counselors

Prepare recruitment reports for university officials

Evaluate prospective students’ transfer credits for admission status, in cooperation with the Registrar of the university

Prepare reports from admissions and recruitment data for university officials

Assist the Director of Admissions & Recruitment in the development of recruitment and general information brochures for the university

Plan professional development workshops and seminars for staff and other stakeholder groups involved in recruitment

Know and ensure implementation of all NCAA, SWAC, international student policies, and University rules and regulations

Prepare the annual recruitment budget request for the department

Work collaboratively with the Director of Admissions & Recruitment to provide quarterly and annual recruitment evaluations/feedback to Executive Director of Enrollment Management

Counsel students and their parents concerning admissions

Provide direct supervision over High School Day, student ambassadors and other recruitment programs

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and the Executive Director of Enrollment Management
