Maytag Aircraft has won a contract at NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Puget Sound Manchester Fuel Department (MFD). It is the largest CONUS underground fuel storage facilities, storing product in 44 bulk fuel tanks (34 USTs) on 234 acres. The facility is also a Defense Fuel Support Point (DFSP Puget) for the Defense Logistics Agency - Energy (DLA-E). The Department’s primary mission is to provide bulk fuel and lubricants to military and government vessels and activities.
FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR.
DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The FDSO shall be capable of inspection, evaluating conditions of fuel storage tanks, pipelines, pumps, dispensers, filter, meter, gauge, and flow control mechanisms, manifold and valve systems, and other related petroleum system components. The Team Member shall be capable of detecting/recognizing system component malfunction, misalignment, leak, and adjustment issues and perform minor fuel system maintenance with guidance from the Team Leader. The Team Member shall be capable of removing and replacing small system components, have a basic knowledge of automated tank gauging systems, meters and high/low level alarms. The Team Member shall also be capable of performing fuels systems operational duties on installed fuel systems. The Team Member must be capable using, generating and extracting data from maintenance reports applicable to any maintenance actions performed.
Minimum of five (5) years’ worth of documented experience in fuels systems operations and fuel distribution systems such as service stations, tank farms and hydrant facilities.
Must have a US government Secret security clearance.
