Job Summary
As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of the retail store. You will assist the Store Manager in managing daily activities and ensuring excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising retail staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order merchandise as needed
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Assist in creating and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Manage cash register operations and reconcile daily sales
- Support in budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting
- Participate in store merchandising and visual standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar position in a retail environment
- Strong knowledge of retail management practices
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Familiarity with training development and performance evaluation processes
- Knowledge of market trends and ability to negotiate with vendors
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in store management is a plus
