The Sales and Leasing Counselor helps manage leasing efforts for the community, which includes developing and maintaining full occupancy within the parameters of the marketing and sales budgets. He or she must maintain positive relationships with competing businesses, professionals, and organizations in the local area and helps transition new residents into the community and coordinate admission.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents

Qualify prospects, participate in meetings and community tours with identified prospects

Manage lead base in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Leasing and members of the sales team

Identify, build, and develop an effective network of community and professional sources for potential resident referrals and establish relationships that assure continuing opportunities for the community and company

Assist with processing and organization of all required information necessary to complete a successful move-in

Helps manage the admissions process to ensure resident and family satisfaction
- Arrange special luncheons/tours, special events and promotions for community contact groups when appropriate

Contribute to the successful execution of sales goals through active participation in appropriate planning and team marketing strategies

Maintain an accurate record of sales activity, marketing statistics (lead generation efforts) and assist in the preparation of routine and periodic marketing reports in accordance with company policy

Provide internal and external sales support to the marketing team
- Identify and cultivate needs and goals of potential customers, residents and families

Manages inventory of marketing materials and adheres to set budgets

Diligently work toward the completion of special projects, requests, and assignments

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
- Working knowledge of sales marketing skills as related to senior housing

Excellent public speaking, communication, and presentation skills

Superior relationship building, networking, and customer service skills

Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong research skills (conventional and internet)

Ability to define specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely goals and objectives

Commitment to continuous improvement of sales and customer service practices while assuring that completed work adheres to high standards of accuracy and excellence

- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite

Education & Experience:
- At least one year of experience in an assisted living community preferred
