Responsibilities WHAT IS THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DIVISION: Criminal Investigation is the investigative and law enforcement arm of TIPP. When individuals or corporations deliberately fail to comply with the laws, policies and employment requirements, Criminal Investigators respond with devastation investigative reports and potential criminal prosecutions to promote compliance and confidence in the fairness of the justice system.

WHAT DOES A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR DO? As a TIPP CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR, you will combine your customer service skills with law enforcement skills to investigate crimes and policy violations of all kinds. You will be trained to "follow the law and policies”. Because of the expertise required to conduct these complex investigations, TIPP CI’S are considered the premier investigators for the Federal government and fortune 500 companies worldwide. On-the-job training (OJT) assignments are planned so that the CI’s trainee can apply the skills and knowledge gained in formal classroom training and work history. As a CI, You Will * Investigate violations of Federal and State laws. You will also review policies per company guidelines and apply your knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, policies and guidelines * Conduct investigations relating to the work of Government and corporate entities. * Perform surveillance duties; interview witnesses; search for physical evidence and clues. Work closely with local, state, and federal officials in a professional manner. Your ability to identify violations of law, policies and misdemeanors will require you at times to testify in court. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

JOB FUNCTIONS * Conduct File Review and DocumentCase Findings * Developing Investigative Action Plans * Conducting Field Investigations (scenes, written and recorded statements, photos, witness canvassing) * Writing Detailed Investigative Reports * Interfacing with Clients, Insureds, Claimant’s, and Defense Attorneys * Conduct Continuing Education Training with Clients (when required) * Providing Testimony (when required)

REQUIREMENTS * 5 years or more experience in the areas of criminal investigations; * Experience in identifying and validating red flags within a claim, fraud schemes, and legal indicators of violations within a claim during file review or field investigation. * Understanding of corporate policies to include terms, conditions, exclusions, limits of liability, and subrogation * Experience discussing investigative findings and making recommendations to the CEO and lead investigator, defense attorneys, local, state and federal authorities, etc... * Strong interpersonal skills, including significant interviewing experience with emphasis on taking detailed recorded or written statements; * Strong computer skills using Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Ability to learn new software operating systems. * Bachelor’s degree preferred, but substantial law enforcement or criminal detective experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education.

Travel Required 100% or less –

Overnight travel and expenses paid by the company
