TRC is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Water/Wastewater Design Engineer for immediate employment in the Jackson, MS office. The appropriately qualified applicant will have extensive experience in the planning, permitting, design, bidding, construction, and rehabilitation of water conveyance, wastewater collection, pumping stations, storage, and treatment systems. Responsibilities may include overseeing the preparation of hydraulic models, calculations, and project reports; and coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public. The ideal candidate would also be a seller/doer who is comfortable both leading design teams and developing client relationships. Candidates with a positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals. In this role, the qualified candidate will work with a highly skilled and motivated team, mentor junior staff, and have the opportunity to be mentored by senior staff. Occasional business travel may be required. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. Some clients require random drug screening. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline
15+ years of experience in the planning, permitting, design, bidding, construction, and rehabilitation of water conveyance, wastewater collection, pumping stations, storage, and treatment systems
Experienced with distribution system network analysis hydraulic modeling software including but not limited to InfoWater and WaterCAD
Experienced with collection system hydraulic modeling software including but not limited to InfoSewer/InfoSWMM and SewerCAD
Experienced with transient pressure hydraulic modeling software including but not limited to InfoSurge, HAMMER and KYSurge
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Experienced with industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
Professional Engineering License in MS or TX or the ability to obtain a MS and TX PE through reciprocity within 3 months
Must have the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians, designers, engineers and project managers for the preparation of high quality work products
Must be able to interface comfortably with clients, lead client meetings, and conduct oral presentations
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to travel on business periodically, generally for periods not to exceed 5 days.

Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive rental vehicles on behalf of the company

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and proficiency in gravity sewer and/or water main hydraulic modeling software applications
Experience with pressure pipe rehabilitation
Experience in preparation of engineering proposals
