The Video and Motion group within RTI International’s Multimedia Communication Services is looking for a self-motivated and innovative creative lead, with a passion to transform creative concepts into powerful visuals stories, for both internal RTI clients and highly visible, international clients. The Creative Lead/ Sr. Video Editor/ Sr. Motion Designer role will be a master of their craft (Video Editing/Motion Design) as well as team player who strives to both create the work and help creatively lead projects by providing hands on art direction. In this position, you will collaborate with editors, writers, motion designers, video manager, and a creative director to create and art direct outstanding animation, motion graphic and video projects. You will be involved in the ideation process all the way through project completion with the intention to elevate the work at every step of the process.

This position requires video and design expertise as well as a technical understanding across multiple mediums (web, interactive, animation, video), a creative approach to storytelling, excellent communication skills, and a high level of collaboration. You will be asked to be a creative problem solver, brand expert, innovative designer, art director and video storyteller.

This position is located at our Headquarters in RTP, NC.

In this role you will be expected to:
Partner with creative director or other creative leads to elevate and lead the concepting, design and execution of video, motion or web projects.
Interface with internal and external clients to learn their business goals and areas of research and then translate those ideas into innovative video and motion concepts for yourself or for others to execute.
Create visually engaging and compelling stories through video editing, animation or providing art direction.
Be innovative while working within brand guidelines, templates and the creation of new video and motion campaigns.
Be just as comfort art directing the work, as rolling up your sleeves and executing the work.
Elevate the work at every stage of the process by providing feedback to work in progress, and ensure the consistency, brand relevance, and quality of the finished product.
Advance the strategic and design thinking within the department.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, while working independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Bachelor’s degree in video production, design, or related field and at least 6 years of related experience total. At least 4 of those years need to be as a creative lead, art director, senior video editor, or senior motion designer with a strong portfolio and proven success in a fast-paced environment
Expert understanding and ability to create motion graphics, animations and video projects (editing)
Strong understanding of video production processes and workflow
Expert in Adobe After Effects and Creative Suite and/or similar design programs
Agency experience required
