This is a full-time, non-exempt/hourly position at Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, CO. Completes and reports birth certificates and related forms in accordance with internal and external requirements.
- Interviews obstetrical patients to obtain required information for completion of birth certificate and/or other appropriate forms. Witnesses signatures according to notary public and/or other policy requirements.
- Enters data into medical records and birth registry systems in accordance with state vital statistics regulations.
- Reviews medical records to complete and verify as needed. Provides authorized patient/persons with verification of birth. Communicates with parents and edits records for changes/corrections as necessary.
Reports birth records to external agencies as required by law.
Training in Anatomy and Medical Terminology
