The Training Specialist is responsible for enhancing the competencies of individual employees by supporting the design, development and delivery of training programs that will boost employee workplace performance in alignment with the Health Plans, Inc. core values.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
â€¢ Train in a classroom setting, act in a supervisory role overseeing the direction of the class.
â€¢ Responding to individual needs and partnering with the management team to address issues.
â€¢ Responsible for coordinating training logistics regarding space and scheduling.
â€¢ Trains Customer Service Operations, though may be asked to assist in creating in-person or web-based trainings for partner departments.
â€¢ Support the overall knowledge of the Customer Service Operations Department by updating the applicable online knowledge bases.
â€¢ Provide training in both the Westborough, MA and Quincy, MA offices.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelorâ€™s Degree and/or equivalent work experience, preferably in the healthcare industry. Must have prior experience leading training groups using existing training materials. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, be detailed, organized and able to prioritize tasks, work within timeframes and meet deadlines, recognize and maintain confidentiality, and communicate in a professional manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
