The LPN provides the appropriate level of nursing care required within the clinical practice for patients of various age groups. Works closely with all members of the healthcare team. This staff member will prepare the patient and exam/procedure room for the patient’s visit and assist with patient care while projecting a positive image of Penn Medicine through the delivery of competent care, excellent communication, and customer service to ensure an excellent experience.
Education equivalent to the completion of high school.
Graduate of a state approved Practical Nurse Program.
Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
CPR certification required.
One to two years of previous experience preferred.
Experience in ambulatory care setting preferred.
Must have knowledge of basic nursing principles and demonstrate current competencies applicable to position.
To be trained as per competency requirements.
40 hours/week with flexible shift hours and days pattern to meet the operational needs of the department. Overtime and evening hours may be required to meet the operational needs of the department. Variable floor assignments to meet the operational needs of the department. Additional accountabilities include: Supply management, employee scheduling and coverage plans, regulatory preparedness, clinical flow management, safety event reporting, patient wait time reduction, and process improvement.
