The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.


Directs, oversees and monitors the work of others
Recruit, hire, train, and retain team members
Develop and implement staff development
Conduct performance reviews on an annual basis (minimum)
Schedules and assigns resources to projects
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems
Actively participates and is able to schedule to insure the successful completion of the project
Manage conflict
Support and communicate Allina’s mission and values
Develops and provides quality assurance reviews
Ensure appropriate software/hardware versions exist for systems
Optimize process/workflows
Coordinate/facilitate Epic downtimes and release installations for Production and non-Production environments
Maintain and execute Epic disaster recovery and failover plans and architecture diagrams
Implement new products/systems


BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred in computer science or related business area



7-8 years of experience
Increasing levels of project leadership
Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems
Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members

Ability to manage people
Ability to motivate others to learn
Seeks out challenging assignments
Ability to accept responsibility to develop solutions from concept to completion
Champions new and innovative ideas to address business units/system barriers or opportunities
Strong leadership judgment and business acumen
Extensive, integrated knowledge of Allina industry business fundamentals
Mentor and coach others
Extensive working knowledge of Software Testing and Release and Deployment methodologies

Work Schedule

Normal work schedule is Monday - Friday
Weekend and night work required for upgrades and system maintenance
