Davidson Technologies Inc. is seeking a Financial Statement Reconciliation Analyst.
The Army and Department of Defense are undergoing their first full audit, and dealing with the risks being uncovered as part of that audit, including financial risks, material risks, and the impact of rapidly changing, non-standard business processes. Davidson Technologies Indianapolis based team, operating at the United States Army Financial Management Command (FMCOM), is in the unique position of offering process standardization, risk management consulting, and management consulting to FMCOM, MSC under Army Material Command created specifically to deal with audit and financial risks facing the Army and process standardization.
Most members of this team will be a part of the Business Process Management (BPM) division within FMCOM and may be assigned to business process improvement, business process adherence, or integration & governance.
Professionals working on site with US Army FMCOM will be subject to a government security investigation and will need a favorable security review (NACI or above).
Individuals typically have experience with improving government transactional and decision support processes, enhancing underlying technologies, and refining organizational designs required to make each individual process more effective and operate in an efficient matter.
Other core competencies include strong written and presentation skills as well as change management capabilities.
Update and maintain process maps (in Microsoft VISIO) and accompanying details using provided template, stencils, and standards workbooks.
Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional / cross-organization meetings between stakeholders on various end-to-end business processes.
Translate corporate work into Army standard formats, such as Department of Army Pamphlets.
Research, formulate and write financial policies and audit preparation activities, with government lead and review.
Present materials and findings to government team leads and above.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in appropriate field, such as Accounting, Finance, or Business.
3-5 years experience in Department of Defense business processes. 2+ years Federal consulting desired. 1-2 years experience of process improvement.
CPA, CISA, or CIA certifications preferred.
Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology certification encouraged.
Demonstrates knowledge of the Army or Defense Business Enterprise Architecture.
Demonstrates a thorough level of knowledge regarding process improvement in areas, such as shared service and outsourcing, finance transformation, performance management, financial systems optimization, and talent management.
Demonstrates a thorough level of knowledge of finance and accounting processes.
Journeyman knowledge of the Army’s Business Operations.
Demonstrates ability to analyze detailed finance and accounting processes to identify improvement opportunities and to simplify complex processes to improve reliability and achieve cost and cycle time reductions.
Identifies and addresses Army needs: building solid relationships with clients; communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts.

Demonstrate some proven level of ability with business intelligence and performance management software tools.
