The IQVIA Technologies Sales Strategy, Enablement and Training team is looking for a Sales Training leader who can help us build a world-class sales training function supporting our go-to-market employees globally. We need to develop and implement industry standard sales training that effectively leverages our sales methodology and helps our sales teams effectively engage with our buyers, lead with value in selling our solutions and win business. We need someone who can not only help us build and execute on the plan, but truly transform the way we train our sales teams. This role should be consistently finding better ways of working, diversifying the types of training content we use and enhancing the training delivery model. This role supervises and leads a team so it is critical to have the ability to drive the function and tactically execute on deliverables.
Specifically, you will:
Lead team of curriculum and instructional designers in defining and developing the training curriculum
Lead the strategy and execution of our global and regional sales conferences
Partner with Sales Enablement and other cross-functional areas to establish and continually improve end-to-end training capabilities
Stay current on latest industry trends and develop approaches to adopt best practices
Drive excellence within the team by promoting industry leading practices and continual improvement initiatives
Manage and provide significant input on new training curricula and existing curricula revisions
Develop strategy for new initiatives, ensuring the right partners are involved; creates strategy and directs team’s involvement and holds others accountable for quality content and achieving deadlines.
Lead additional strategic training initiatives to drive business results (e.g. lead overall training strategy for sales)
Establish & maintain standard processes & best practices for training design development, leveraging adult learning principles and modern learning theory
Manage and own performance of team and develop programs to educate and empower team members through coaching and leadership
Take on curriculum design responsibilities for a designated set of audience & product offerings as required by the organization
Ensure quality by establishing instructional design standards and a quality review process
Identify opportunities for leveraging 3rd party suppliers to enable the efficient development of high-quality training collateral
Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers
Lead and manage the design, budget, project management and implementation of large global sales events
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in Sales Training with at least 5+ years leading a diverse sales training team
Ability to work cross-functionally
Strong understanding of Sales Methodology and Sales Process skill development
Strong understanding of Adult Learning Methodology
Expertise in creating and managing the creation of content for a sales audience
Experience in design development and project management
Background in using tools such as:
- Rapid Development
- Articulate Storyline
- Articulate Rise 360
Experience in managing vendors
Experience building different types of learning assets that can be deployed across multiple channels
