Position Overview:

Serve as a Technical Lead and Mentor to both internal and external developers. The expectations of this position are:

  • 60% - Development of new PHP Applications
  • 30% - Ensure delivery of the OmniChannel Development Roadmap
  • 10% - Process Management, Knowledge sharing and ongoing personal development

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate team Code Reviews and Technical Oversight.
  • Manage project tasks, track schedules and timelines
  • Administrate code merges, deployments, and DEV / QA environments
  • Write “clean”, well designed PHP code according to established standards, a proprietary enterprise framework, and industry best practices
  • Produce detailed specifications
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
  • Participate in a team-oriented environment to develop complex web-based applications

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a developer mentorship role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior developer
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MySQL Data Architecture
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Release Management, GIT, IIS, OWASP
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in object-oriented PHP development
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in an enterprise IT environment
  • Experience in Responsive Design (experience with specific frameworks a plus, but should have strong foundation in CSS3 @media and Viewport based approaches)
  • Experience working with multiple teams across a portfolio of in-house and vendor technologies
  • Superior strategic, tactical leadership, decision-making, problem solving and team motivation skills
  • Ability to “think outside the box”
  • BONUS SKILLS: Experience in UX design / JS Frameworks like ReactJS / strong cross browser troubleshooting skills
  • BONUS SKILLS: DevOps, Release Management, Continuous Delivery Management
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Customer service oriented - constant interfacing with demanding customers
  • Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal skills with strong organizational abilities
  • Store focused: understand the needs and priorities of the stores, how job role impacts the stores, is highly responsive to store needs, and continually seeks to improve service
  • Ability to develop relationships with field users (stores, district managers, regional managers) to better understand their needs through store visits, calls, and other direct contact
  • Ability to adhere to IT policy and procedures and demonstrate understanding of ownership
  • Ability to exhibit a sense of urgency working on projects or issues, partner with others to achieve project goals or remediate issues and follow up until goals are achieved and issues are resolved.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
