Job Summary: Supports a range of highly complex product and Electronic Test Engineer / Validation Engineer technical support activities as the authority. Uses advanced processes and tools to maximize results, and acts as a technical consultant/liaison with top engineering personnel.
Contract term: 6 months –Temp to Hire Opportunity bases on availability
Location: Holland, MI
Pay Range: $40.00 per hour
Main Responsibilities: Testing – It is the responsibility of Electronic validation engineers to select the proper test method for testing. This includes selecting the appropriate electronic test equipment as needed. Electronic validation engineers are responsible for ensuring that all testing is done in an appropriate and timely fashion and that all committed deadlines are met. This includes defining a critical path, dividing tests into subgroups, and ensuring outsourced testing is scheduled as needed.
Electronic validation engineers are responsible for creating work orders, reviewing test results, making final test dispositions, and recording and communicating test results, writing dedicated test instructions and working to existing instructions, monitoring progress of tests and analysing test results during the test programs to ensure early identification and reporting issues Test Method Ownership – Electronic validation engineers may be assigned ownership of a test method.
Test Method Owners (TMO) are responsible for ensuring the test method is developed, verified, and approved before being released for use. They are also expected to determine measurement uncertainty where applicable and to train and qualify initial persons to run the test. The TMO ensures the test is maintained and continues to function properly. TMOs may collaborate with a test development group or test expert to accomplish these tasks.
Test Expertise – Electronic validation engineers may be designated as the test expert for a specific test category/area. Electronic test experts are the test method owner for their area of expertise. Electronic test experts are expected to understand customer and industry standards and test methods, and therefore are responsible for staying up to speed with industry trends. Electronic test experts will be called on to recommend capability enhancements, to network with other area experts in the industry, and to give training and guidance in their area of expertise.
Test Fixtures – Electronic validation engineers ensure that the development of new product fixtures and testing equipment meet the customer expectations and simulate the in-vehicle environment, as required. Validation Engineers may collaborate with the fixture development group to initiate the design and constructing of a fixture.
Specific Requirements: 1. EHS: Follow all defined and communicated Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
2. BOS: Learn and execute function-related BOS requirements.
3. Information Security: Follow defined requirements for information security and confidentiality of information.
University degree in STEM and 3 Years suggested minimum experience.
