About Us: Student Basic Needs Coalition (SBNC) is a national non-profit organization with a primary mission to combat the student basic needs crisis by facilitating solutions for food, housing, and financial insecurities among college students. Our approach is three-pronged, focusing on SNAP Enrollment, Campus Education, and Advocacy, all aimed at alleviating the immediate needs of students while working towards long-term systemic changes. By empowering student leaders to facilitate access to resources, raising awareness for basic needs insecurity, and advocating for long-term solutions, SBNC aims to create a system of support that enables college students to focus on their academic pursuits without the distress of basic needs insecurity.
Position Overview: SBNC is seeking a passionate and organized Campus Program Manager to join our team. This role will focus on supporting all our campus chapters, managing the Momentum Institute program, and overseeing the SNAP Into Action program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management and a commitment to improving the lives of students. This position will report to the Director of Campus Programs and will be responsible for the supervision of interns and student leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- SNAP Into Action Program Oversight (50%):
- Manage the SNAP Into Action program, focusing on increasing student access to SNAP benefits.
- Collaborate with campus chapters to implement SNAP outreach and education initiatives.
- Track program metrics and outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations and government agencies to support program goals.
- Campus Chapter Support (25%):
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all SBNC campus chapters.
- Provide guidance, resources, and support to chapter leaders to ensure effective operations and program implementation.
- Facilitate regular communication and meetings with chapter leaders to discuss progress, challenges, and best practices.
- Develop and distribute materials and resources to assist chapters in their advocacy and program efforts.
- Momentum Institute Program Management (25%):
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Momentum Institute program.
- Coordinate with program participants, speakers, and partners to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Monitor program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to enhance the program's impact.
- Create and maintain program documentation, including schedules, materials, and reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in social work, higher education, or a related area.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and student advocacy.
- Experience working with low-income and first generation students and understanding their unique needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience assisting students with applying for SNAP benefits or with student case management in general.
- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating programs.
- Strong understanding of supporting both students and administrators in enhancing student success.
