We’re looking for talented Product Design Prototypers passionate about advancing the boundaries of input in AR/VR. The ideal candidate has game or UI development experience in either Unity or Unreal and flourishes working in an ambiguous technology space. This position will afford you the opportunity to explore the meaning and implementation of inputs and interaction in spatial computing.
You will become part of a team exploring new input devices and technologies by designing and prototyping interactions. We want people who work well in teams; can brainstorm big ideas; have great design sense; work in ambiguous technology areas; can envision how to test a hypothesis and rapidly build a prototype. You will be expected to use your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills. This position is full-time and based in Seattle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, research, prototype, and implement interaction ideas for input technologies and devices
Work with a full-stack software and hardware team to realize interactions into experiences
Develop and iterate rapid models of proposed design solutions for the purposes of communication and evaluation
Design flows and visuals
Solve issues with your cross-functional leads
Think beyond incremental features and help design paradigm shifts for input in spatial computing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in shipping software products
Experience with real-time 3D development such as Unity/C# or Unreal
Proven problem solving experience and experience overcoming challenges
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A portfolio of work built in Unity or other real-time 3D engine, of which you can talk through the design and implementation process
Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Knowledge of virtual reality and emerging technologies
Game development experience
UI development experience
Unreal Engine experience
Experience in 3D tools such as Maya, 3DS Max or Cinema 4D
