Job Summary

International cosmetics contract manufacturer and designer has a unique opportunity for IT support in its U.S.A. start-up. Occasional travel regionally to support additional location as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely resolution of user issues, or escalate issues to the IT Manager, as appropriate.
  • Assist in user support at the locations assigned.
  • Anticipate future needs, identify and communicate proactive solutions to satisfy needs to line manager.
  • Provide support to users outside normal working hours, as needed, to ensure staff is productive.
  • Provision and deploy new computers and telephones as necessary.
  • Responsible for keeping updated inventory of all IT related assets; enters new items into asset system as received, and performs periodic inventories as requested.
  • Utilize local IT budget usage as appropriate.
  • Ensure department/management is well informed, at all times, of issues, changes and newsworthy events within the department.
  • Effectively communicate relevant IT-related information to superiors.
  • Achieve excellence in all areas of business.
  • Change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
  • Reinforce team approach throughout practice both on client projects and internal initiatives.
  • Support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the department.
  • Continually define ways to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Maintain lasting internal client relationships.
  • Lend expertise to internal teams and task forces.
  • Review and conform to Standard Operating Procedures. Provides input to changes/modifications needed as appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or a combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of solid IT Help Desk Support.
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V and/or Active Directory is preferred.
  • Experience with troubleshooting the following:
  • Desktop and Laptop
  • Hardware: Printers, Monitors, Projectors and Servers
  • VPN
  • VOIP
  • Antivirus software installations and updates
  • Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office 2013 or higher (strongly prefer Office 365)
  • Active Directory
  • Other IT hardware or software as requested.
  • Good presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of network and PC operating systems and Off-the-Shelf applications.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of hardware platforms and voice/data communications systems.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to operate various office equipment including, but not limited to: computers, copiers, phones, etc. Prolonged sitting; walking intra- and interdepartmentally as needed; dexterity for manipulating computers and source materials; proficiency in the reading, writing and speaking of the English language.
