Job Purpose:
Leading and facilitating sourcing projects that are aimed at identifying cost saving and optimisation opportunities for the assigned group of sub-categories of spend.
Responsiblilty for contributing towards developing the appropriate sourcing strategy by utilizing best in class sourcing methodologies.
Collaborating with stakeholders to help them develop specifications, gain quotations and conduct analysis to balance the value of competing bids and make business case based reccomendations.
Supporting the Procurement Management Team and working with suppliers to ensure cost reduction, risk mitigation and to establish robust commercial agreements.
Duties can be varied and sometimes complex; often involving research, analysis, stakeholder management and solution options development.
The successful candidate would be expected to deliver significant benefits to the business in terms of margin improvement and purchasing cost saving activities and provide input in areas of knowledge.

This job contributes to organizational success by:
Support effective management of the assigned group of subcategories, lead the negotiation of price agreements and service & supply contracts to obtain best ultimate cost for the business.
Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships and networks with internal customers and external suppliers to improve the procurement process.
Manage (re)tender processes and negotiations at a local, NA and in some cases global basis.
Support or lead the procurement of goods and services in one or more categories. Key procurement interface with implementing initiatives with supplier base such as product launches, quality improvements, cost reduction, risk management and capacity expansion.
Support or lead the processes of supply selection. Negotiate, implement and manage commercial agreements ensuring they are current and opportunities are realized for future value delivery for the company.
Support or lead new sourcing, bidding, benchmarking and negotiations to meet business area requirements which support continuous improvement in terms of quality, service and total cost of ownership.
Participate in Supplier Performance Management reviews to assess strategic performance metrics and drive performance improvement actions. Provide focus to risk assessment, quality delivery and cost improvement.
Conduct internal and external benchmarking to ensure agreed rates, policies and processes are competitive and efficient within the marketplace.
Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
Maintain strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies and identify potential cost reduction and improvement opportunities as well as future initiatives.
Achieve customer satisfaction through agreed performance criteria.
Undertake project work as necessary to support the team and the functional priorities.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Science, CPM/CPSM qualified, or relevant work experience
MS office suite including Excel (intermediate) and Word
JD Edwards and/or ePMX experience preferred
At least five years experience in a similar role including tendering, negotiating contracts and supplier management.
Strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skillset
Effective communicator with good interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills
Supplier Diversity experience/training is a plus
